Has the playoff diminished the regular season to you?

This was one of the biggest arguments against a playoff system being put in place. How does it personally feel to you?

No. The regular season is more meaningful now. You're not going to have an undefeated major-conference champion locked out like Auburn in 2004. You also have more games matter in November because there are 4 spots instead of 2.

Only dumbasses think that. Under the old system only about five teams had a shot by this point in the season. Everyone else was saying for the la-Z-Boy bowl or some shite. Now, you've got ten to twelve with hopes.

If anything it has made it MORE intriguing. You have at least 10, if not 12-15 teams currently battling it out for those 4 spots. As a poster said above, usually by now it has been narrowed down to 5 or so, except for crazy mayhem years. More teams have more on the line at this point in the season, and it is much more exciting IMO.

It has enhanced the regular season, I think they could go to 8 before the regular season was diminished in any way.

I think it will diminish the bowl games to me if your team is not in the playoffs. 4 teams is not enough though.

No because this 4 team playoff is an absolute joke. You have people sitting around a table deciding who the 4 will be. It's not much better than the BCS.
At least make it 8 teams and be done with it. 5 power conference winners and three at large. With 4 you could end up with the SEC champ, two other SEC teams and then someone else. It's terrible.

Too many good teams are left out with only 4. Should take 5 conference champs and 3 at-large teams to get a true champion. Some deserving one loss and possibly two loss teams if upsets keep happening will be left out.
