So, I picked my navy jacket up from the cleaners this morning and drove to lake charles with the intention of wearing it. Well, it has no buttons left on it. I have one that ended up in the jacket.

so WWOTD

1. Wear with no buttons and look like a pledge

2. Wear no jacket to a night wedding and look like pledge

3. Find safety pin (IF I have time) and attach remaining and look like pledge?

Wise OT, what's the protocol?

pledge, pledge, pledge

Wear what you have...either way, you will be concerned about other people's opinions of you and allow it to impact your day.

Go get some buttons and a needle and thread. It really isn't hard to sew buttons on if it's not a really tough material

You can probably youtube it

Find tailor, explain the emergency, pay a little extra for them to sew on buttons right there, keep receipt, bring to dry cleaners, yell a lot, profit.

Evidently you wasn't in the military. Go to Walmarks and buy some buttons and sewing kit and sew them on - it ain't that hard.

Walmart sells gold buttons for blazer.... But I wouldn't be able to sew them on either. Thankfully my wife does

Hobby Lobby is open until 8 if you don't want Walmart buttons. Michaels and that fabric place next to Michaels are open even later.

It would take me less time to sew on buttons than it would to find a safety pin.

If you have thread/sewing kit and another jacket you never wear with "appropriate" buttons... yank 'em off and sew them on the one you are wearing tonight. Donate new buttonless jacket tomorrow. Done and done.

Knowing you're married freaks me out a little and makes me feel old.
