Will never supplant fuel taxes, but surprisingly large compared to alcohol/tobacco, and quickly. This alone makes swift legalization everywhere else seem plausible and in fact likely:

I said this in another thread on the OT, but it is disappointing that tax revenue, and not self-ownership, is the main argument for legalization.

How much more depressing would it be if legalizing didn't appear to be clearly in the best interest of "cash-strapped" state govts though?

Should be no damn govt involved at all. Grow it smoke it. Nothing in public ie open container laws and be done.

Where is the hippie outrage They never would have believed the Govt taking their money for a joint.

in CO, we have TABOR. And they are refunding some of the $$ to the citizens of CO.
