LSU wins and we are easily in the top 10 but how high?

I looked at the schedule and there are a lot of top 15 match ups. If LSU just wins then they will be in the top 10 because 5 teams ahead of them will lose. The question is which 5 teams and how high can we get. I think if the best possible scenario plays out, LSU could be at 8 or 9. 8 is being pretty generous but we could finally be rewarded for our victories. This will put us squarely in the College football playoff picture with 3 weeks left.

The boost they get in the rankings this year will be nothing compared to the boost they get next year. Same thing happened to aTm two years ago and OU and Auburn this year.

I wouldn't say easily in the top 10. If it's a convincing win we will make it, if not, probably not.

Our tepid move from 19 to 15 has convinced me that barring a serious meltdown by several schools or a run straight through the SECCG, that committee isn't letting us into the top 4.
