He won't play QB in the SEC unless it's at Auburn. He is a WR anywhere else. He isn't bad at QB, but he can make a lot more money at WR.
Didn't Texas tell Manziel and RG3 that they'd be better at DB? Only Oregon and a few small schools looked at Mariota as a QB. It's kind of crazy for people to already decide this guy's college future as a sophomore in high school. I mean look at Boykin from TCU. They finally switched their offense coordinator, and look at his stats. Tannehill went from playing WR (because TAMU turned him into a WR) to playing QB and now is playing QB in the NFL.
I say you at least try these guys out at QB early on before deciding to switch them to WR.

I will note that the schools you are talking about (Oregon, TAMU under Sheerman or Sumlin) are adaptable. They will at minimum tweak the system/plays to fit players. Texas and you know who not so much (at least recent history).
We don't free agency, can't go out and pick up the guy "for your system". Half the time recruiting the one that fits perfectly won't work either because of time/practice limitations.

I personally want him to be a tiger, but nothing is certain as he really wants to play QB. It will come down to a school where he knows he will be the signal caller.

do you mean a school that will allow him to compete for the qb job or a school where he will get the best chance to start?

Compete for the qb job. He really wants a chance to play QB. He is young and has more developing to do but this is his desire.
