Pay attention to this newly elected Representative from Utah. Smart woman! She just handed the CNN race-baiters their sorry condescending asses, on a platter.

The left media is one of the main reasons why the race divide is so large in this country

Did they think she was elected from some majority-black gerrymandered district in frickin UTAH? Jesus Christ on a crutch!

She's very appealing.

As for these CNN anchors, it's nausiating that they want to perpetuate the race baiting. Also just because you're sick of the race baiting doesn't mean you're not sensitive to AA history.

She handled that well. I have a feeling she'll be campaigning for a lot of republicans in the future, and possibly seeking higher political office.

She's cute too.

The left, the media and her own race will rip her apart... don't worry about that

She is very impressive to me. My favorite political figures are the black conservatives. They get pounded by their own race for being "Uncle Toms" and yet they rise up on sound principles. I am excited for her and Tim Scott from South Carolina.

She handle herself with confidence. Well done.
I didn't find that to be over the top baiting. I would expect much worse to come. She was after all the 1st so its ok to bring it up.

I have to say, her mantra on how government should work speaks to me. "Can we afford it? Is it sustainable? Is it government's job?" That should be stamped on every elected officials forehead.

A white person asked that question?

Yes. It was so disgustingly patronizing, I was embarrassed (as a white person myself) for the 2 CNN anchors, who themselves seemed a little uncomfortable asking - but who were probably being instructed to ask anyway by their unseen handlers.

I don't understand. She kept saying she wasn't elected because of her race, but nobody said or even implied she was. I like her, though.

Go re-listen to the question. The way she was asked how it felt to be a woman, to be Black, why hadn't the GOP elected Black women candidates before, etc. was the key to her answers coming out as they did. She heard it.

the question was one any reporter would ask when a first happens "what took so long?"

It's interesting how Republicans go into seizure when race is ever mentioned but the same people are supporting Ben Carson for president. A man who has never run for office and whose lone "qualification" is a speech he made instead of a prayer. And they get furious when race is ever mentioned yet clearly Carson's race is the primary reason for his support. And you're lying if you say differently.

Just like the poster in this thread saying he lives minority Republicans. And they do! Until they leave the plantation like Colin Powell.
