If you spend 90% of the game waiting for Evans to give up the rock, you're going to be more likely to shoot it every chance you get.

lol

Evans deserves to be a ball hog

Our offense would be garbage if he wasn't a ball hog

Why? He isn't shooting a high percentage.

Our offense is garbage as it is. Our defense is keeping us in games.

He's shooting like .4 and .467 from 3

That's not bad at all for a volume shooter/ball hog

And considering we have basically no one else that can create their own shot like he can on the team, I don't think him holding the ball a lot is that bad

I agree he can get some blinders on at times when he has the ball and take bad shots, but there are way bigger problems on this team than that

Creating your own shot isn't a big victory when you shoot under 40%.

When AD isn't touching the ball, it absolutely is

Poor shooting is definitely hurting thus far, but I'm afraid Evans' Zero Balling will hurt team chemistry at some point.

Bashing Evans for holding onto the ball and trying to create offense is like bashing Davis for trying too hard to block shots

Reek has a better FG% than Harden, Kobe, Conley, and Lillard right now

About the same as Derozan and Carmelo

Edit: actually Kobe's is slightly better. slightly.

Our offense sucks bc Gordon is a black hole and can't hit open threes

I haven't watched enough of Conley and Lillard yet, but Harden hasn't found his shot yet (frick us) and Kobe is taking 25 shots a night as the only viable option they have. Kobe isn't going to shoot a good percentage.

My point is when you're arguably the top offensive player on your team, and you're shooting around 40%, that's really not that bad.

Especially when your starting center and SG are complete garbage on offense

He isn't the only one who has missed several open shots. The offense is performing well, just not executing easy shots that should be made. Those will eventually fall (like the pels free throws have), and all will be good in the universe.

Did you see Corndeaux's stats on touches? Hardly a black hole or even enough touches to severely affect our offensive production.

My point is that a guy shooting under 40% is not your best offensive player, especially when he doesn't pass to your actual best offensive player. If not for offensive rebounds off of Tyreke's endless missed layups, ADs usage when be much lower and the problem would be magnified.

I feel like we're not even watching the same game if you think Tyreke Evans isn't our best, or at least second best offensive player

But then again you're pretty obviously working the contrarian angle in this thread, which is noble

Going 0-6 in two separate games definitely affects offensive production. If he would have been halfway decent in the Mavs game, the Pels could have pulled out a victory.
