The only reason I can come up with for Mozzie not knowing is that they wanted one of his conspiracy theories to be true, yet be unaware.

I thought he did it for the real pain that he would have coming to grips with his death, still doesn't explain the faking of the death IMO though. I thought that it might have been to protect the people he loved from the Panthers coming after them but with their resources, how hard would it be to find all of them anyway?

It makes far more sense that he would know, but I don't think he was faking those emotions. Did he find out afterwards? Most likely...

Mozzie is supposedly a world class con man, so I'm sure he could sell the emotions if he needed to, while making use of his reputation for conspiracy thinking to further push the con.

Mozzie is more of a technical expert/behind the scenes/sidekick type of con man. I don't think he could pull off that kind of emotional performance.

The show's creator confirmed after the finale that Mozzie sees Neil again. When Peter picks up the card at the end it was supposed to mean that Mozzie had been there and he had left to join Neil in Paris.

I liked the finale, but I felt as if I saw that ending come from a mile away. I took it as him trying to protect the ones he loved from the Pink Panthers, but also so he could continue his life as a con man. It was also meant to mean that Peter could continue the "chase" between him and Neil.

There was another ending planned, but this was the ending that the guys who play Neil and Peter suggested.

I actually really liked it. I kept thinking no Neil's alive. Then omg is he really dead?

I like how they did it. Kinda shitty there wasn't more closure on it moz sees Neil again. Maybe the card and said bye suit or something

A question I have had was Neil giving that stuff to Peter as a here's all the stuff I stole. As in I have the money now. I did it for the thrill? His last gift to Peter?

My question is how did it take Peter a year to figure out what the key was for?

it was very obvious he wasn't dead. him shooting the dummy before everything went down made it very evident that it was a con

Great Finale. One of the best I've seen in a while.

Neal had to fake his death to avoid being hunted down eventually by the Pink Panthers. Even from prison they would have found him. Neal turning over the treasure trove to Peter likely meant that he was turning over a new leaf in Paris.

Mozzie likely didn't know about Neal faking his death until later. Mozzie struggles in his lies to Peter both in park and again at the house. Far different from the genuine emotion he expresses at the morgue. After the dust settled, Mozzie was able to join Neal in Paris.

I like how Mozzie short-changes Keller in the end, giving him just under $9 million while keeping $23 million for themselves.
