Between this and the USC case e-mails that may come out if those docs get unsealed in the McNair case, the NCAA is, well...

By the by, this is probably enough to get Emmert run.

The NCAA is supposed to BE the schools. But when the home office makes up a protocol and imposes it on a school, bad for all schools.

So if I'm a university prez subject to NCAA rule, I'm not particularly confident in the leadership.

Penn State hurt; don't care.

I have no sympathy for those scum bags.

So Penn State and the NCAA are corrupt? I actually already knew that.

Exactly. The NCAA's corruption doesn't absolve the sheer evil of PSU.

This isn't really corruption to me.

This is a pseudo governing body trying to hammer an entity the nation thinks it should be able to hammer without a lot of authority to enforce said hammering. To me they're just acknowledging the inherent weakness of the NCAA and balancing that with the obvious need for punishment of PSU.

Penn State deserves everything they got for protecting that sick frick. Let's not forget who this is about, who Joe Pa protected:

Context has a huge impact.....there is none; just quoted sections.

However, if the NCAA's action was a bluff, why didn't PSU call them on it? Perhaps PSU didn't because discovery, during a lawsuit, has a way of turning over rocks they don't want exposed to the light of day.

I wouldn't have cared if the NCAA gave PSU the death penalty. No sympathy from me. Penn St got what they deserved. The NCAA had to do something.

That school got off too easy...there should be no more football at that school.

You allow for the rape of children for years, you should not be concerned with scholarship reduction.

Of all the things that make the NCAA look bad, bluffing to nail Penn State isn't one of them, especially considering most people thought they let them off easy.

This is what it seems to me. I'm not getting the supposed big beef here.

LOL who gives a shite? OMG they are asserting jurisdiction even though they don't have the authority! THE HORROR! You would think Penn State hid a child rapist or something by the way the NCAA acted.
