My dad called last night to tell me about his voting experience yesterday.

He's white and lives in Donaldsonville. When he was in the voting booth, the curtain and some sort of rod falls on his head. The workers (most of whom were black) ran to his assistance while getting inside the booth with him while his votes are still on the ballot (he hadn't submitted them yet). He said he felt like his privacy was very violated and because everyone was right there able to see his votes, he quickly just hit the "VOTE" button to submit what he had and erase them.

He overheard the workers saying "it happened again", in regards to the curtain falling. He then heard other white voters across town talking about it in the grocery store later that afternoon. I don't know if it happened to black voters but from what he heard, he only heard about it happening to white voters.

It could just be innocent but it sure sounds sketchy to me. I told him he should report this to the SoS office but he doesn't want to. What would you all do in this situation?

I could care less about privacy. Why is he embarrassed of his vote. I could care less if a loudspeaker called out each vote I make.

Why would he be scared like that? Geeez

Oh c'mon. You think they only let white people into the problematic booth? The machine was a pos, that's all.

Lol. White people are so scared of others finding out how they vote. Chappelle does a pretty funny skit about it

Well, you have to admit that you can predict how a black person voted with 95% accuracy.

yea, basic ineptness of civil service workers is not always a conspiracy. Many of them really are that stupid.

I don't think the average poll worker in Donaldsonville is smart enough to pull something like that off on purpose.

And how was he intimidated? Did they try and sway his vote? Did they even look at the votes he had entered? It just seems like a crappy voting booth. And it just sounds like your dad got shook by his neighbors. Which is understandable, he lives in Donaldsonville.

Did they try and change his votes? Did they try and talk him out of who he was voting for? Did they reference the votes in any way? It sounds like they were they sincerely making sure your father was ok.

But, by all means please pursue the great dropping-curtain-rods-on-white-folks-to-see-who-they-were-voting-for conspiracy. I look forward to hearing the updates.

Okay, but could you imagine the outcry this would cause if this had happened to multiple blacks in, say, Walker?

What's interesting about Donaldsonville is that the old machines they used were from New Orleans, and they somehow registered votes for Marc Morial in every race.

So it's like your dad was masturbating in the booth, forgot to lock the door and someone busted in on him so he tried to zip his pants real quick like and act normal?

White people are sofa king scared of their own shadows. It's why America is a PC stink hole right now.
