It really doesn't feel all that long actually. I could have sworn it was only 2 hours long.

So for those who have seen it, how closely does it resemble the synopsis of the 2008 draft that was posted on reddit? Obviously Murphy is now a girl, but other than that, any noticeable changes?

Oh and for someone who believes man-made climate change/global warming is a load of progressive shite, will this movie's beginning bother me? Or is it just a minor part of the whole that starts the larger story/journey?

Yes, the movie is extremely vocal with its socialist environmentalist message. I almost vomited at one point because it was so bad.

See, that's the kind of thing that will piss me off. It ruined the Simpsons movie for me. I still liked it, but the political message bullshite really left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

It doesn't say that at all. Jesus Tap Dancing Christ. Y'all look stupid saying this, since the film goes well out of its way to NOT do this. Nolan wanted to not piss off the retarded hardcore conservatives by suggesting the humans fricked up the environment. It never says that. I guarantee no less than 20 of you idiots come in here bitching about that as a point, when that's not the point of the film at all.

There have to be stakes, stakes large enough for a widower to leave his children behind and not see them for possibly decades, if ever. Do you think they could have told that story if things weren't dire for the human race as a whole? No, an apocalyptic environment was 100% essential in telling this story.

It's not man made climate change that is responsible for this.

Okay good. One concern is alleviated. Did you ever read the synopsis for the 2008 draft on reddit? If so, differences?

I'm with you on the issue and the movie is not at all preachy about this issue or any other political issue.

If anything, the movie takes a pot shot at Progressivism during the scene in which Cooper is talking to the school administrators about how the Moon Landing of 1969 is taught in the curriculum.

For much of the movie, snippets of old timers from the Dust Bowl are shown on screen. These are samples taken from Ken Burns's film on the Dust Bowl. Now, we know that the Dust Bowl was not caused by humankind, so, Nolan may want us to infer that the Dust Bowl in the film is not caused by humankind.

In any event, the movie is not in any way political or preachy, IMHO.

Yeah...I don't know how anyone who has seen this movie ever got the impression that we caused the situation that is plaguing the earth in the film. I did love the thing about the moon landings though.

So you're that edgy hipster that hates everything Nolan does.

Just got out of it, watched it IMAX 70MM.

Holy...

Went with a couple of buddies and we were all pretty much speechless walking out of the theater tonight. Absolutely mind bending movie. There is going to be so much to be discussed when it comes to this movie.

I have to see it again. I'm going to recommend it to everyone.

Nolan delivers again. Some really powerful moments.

Again, just wow...
