I'll take Stallings, Godfrey, Lange, and Foster then

Interesting with Foster.
I like the Stallings pick. You thinking starter or closer? Or just big out of the pen?

Thinking closer honestly.
I usually have a favorite player on every team. Last year was Nola, the 2 years before were Bregman, before that it was Austin Nola, and before him it was Schimpf.
In all honesty, I'd say KRob will be that guy for me this year.
But I am excited about Stallings, Godfrey,Papierski, and Lange.

I was a really really big fan of Austin. Just liked the way he carried himself and that nothing seemed to get to him.
Stevenson might be my favorite player overall this year. But I'm driving the Pap pain train hard

Barring injury (knock on wood) two outfield spots are locked in stone. Fraley has to hold on to left field, it's his to start with. Jordan is going to get some at bats. Between Schaimbra and Foster there aren't a lot of spare at bats to be had. Maybe the DH spot could be open.

Good to hear about Austin.
Also hoping Cartwright develops like I think he can. Can def be a setup guy with his stuff.

Its a great problem to have. We could have some very good hitters on the bench.

I was reserved about Pap until I saw him in person. As a first year player he looked much better than Chinea and Sciv. Even threw out Laird, though PM told Laird to stay. Wouldn't say I'm gushing over him. Just think he is the best option at C right now.
Schimpf will always be one of my favorite Tigers. I have a lot of favorites from 09 though.. Dreadlocks of Doom to name one.
The Freshman I am hoping big things for is Deichmann.
Who couldn't love watching the Nola brothers. I was on the line about trying to get opening day tickets until I heard Nola is throwing out the first pitch to Nola.

Austin should throw the first pitch, aaron should catch.
I'm sure he will be great. Will probably get spot starts early on and be the defensive catcher late in games.

Yea. I think it's good we are in a situation where Pap may be the best player for the position and we have experience at the position. So we don't have to rush him into it.
Get him used to the college game and hopefully by SEC play he will be good to go.
Another plus for Pap is he gets to try and throw out guys like Stevenson, Laird, and Bregman in practice. Good learning curve for the college game.

It also can't hurt Bregman this year. Last year, he felt like he probably had to carry the team. There is no reason for him to feel that kinda pressure this year.

I like the fact that Mainieri said that Deichmann is challenging Laird for 2nd fastest on the team. I didn't know that about him, thought he was solely a good bat.

Hopefully not.
The guys I've felt sorry for the past few years were Gausman and Nola.
There were times they'd give up 1 run in a game and lose the game.

I think the biggest thing for Deichman will be sitting behind some of our experience for a year. Getting used to college ball.
And having one year in the program and weight room.
Seemed really small to me. Haven't seen the power yet everyone talked about.

His hits are almost always squared up. His power will show itself when he squares up on mistake pitches.

That's what I heard from someone.

I don't understand the downvotes going on in this page.

I hope so. You know much more about baseball than I do so I'll take your word for it
He's one of the players I'm most excited about.
