With the NCAA only allowing a few weeks of practice before opening day, all these guys are still throwing, hitting, conditioning so they can hit the ground running on day 1 of practice. It's a very important time for pitchers more than any position.

Playing Houston (#8) and Nebraska (#38) on the road at Minute Maid the week before conference play begins will be the best preseason test we've had in a long time.

What kind of bias is that new D1baseball poll going to have with both Kendall and Fitt collaborating. CBB is one of the least reliable of the polls IMO. That being said I expect us to be in the top 10 of every preseason poll.

Our opening series is no cakewalk either, KU was a tournament team last year.

I'd have us at 10 to start the season. We return some of the best contact hitters out there and we have Alan Dunn. Youth at starter isn't as big of a concern to me as the bullpen. We need a closer.

I'd have us about 7 or 8 but I don't enough about what a lot of other teams bring back either. Except Vandy who is loaded.

It's a guess, no doubt. I'm basing it off of how good I think we'll be to start compared to other years. There's nothing else for me to go on since, like you said, we don't really know too much about the other teams.
