Stayin at Sheraton on North Olive. Not really concerned with type food, just upscale. Likely have customers with me.

One nigjht may be Nick & Sams, but may not. Dont want to go too terribly far, but 15-20 min ride is not a problem.

Thank ya

^ those are good recs

Nick and Sams is the tits and God damn the women are amazing

So is Javier's. I always take clients there. Upscale and great atmosphere and SW food

Another winner is Al Biernets. Can't get much better. It's a who's who of celebrities and athletes and the food is amazing.

Some other favorites

Nobu sushi
Trulucks
Also a new place called Seer steakhouse at the top of the Anatole hotel. Supposed to have great views of the skyline and a cool bar

Another underrated part of town is bishop arts

Under rated by who? That place is a cluster f*ck on the weekends now. It's the "IT" spot in Dallas now for all the suburban tourists. And its going to get worse with all the new development starting to happen in that area.

Love 'em and already mentioned:
Al Biernet's
Neighborhood Services

My longtime favorites (less expensive): Gloria's and The Porch

My longtime favorite (more expensive): Hibiscus

Get up early for some BBQ from The Pecan Lodge at the Dallas Farmer's Market.

ETA:

Dish and Al's both have 1/2 apps for happy hour so they are GREAT places to get started.

They have moved to Deep Ellum and doubled their smoker capacity. The lines aren't much of a problem anymore as they are open til 3pm weekdays and till 11pm Fri and Sat. They have a nice patio with live music on weekend evenings.

Good recs for the most part (except Addison and Gloria's). I'd add CBD Provisions in the Joule, and Tei An, which is very close to your hotel, for the best Japanese food in the city. I've heard good things about San Salvaje as well.

I wouldn't call Bishop Arts underrated...

Hattie's over there is great. Low Country/Southern gourmet style. Kind of small and can get noisy, but delicious.

It was great ... We hit Victor Tangos thursday night, sat at the bar.... And I absolutely loved it. The bone marrow w chimichurri was the best ive ever had. Will post pics n thoughts later. Been undecided whether i would or not

We actually got hung up late at the mtg fridat and had to cancel Hibiscus... So we did Tangos again! Great cocktails and small plates.

Victor Tangos' was awesome. Very small place...get there early or late if you want a seat. We went 2 nights in a row, and were fortunate enough to find seats at the bar. They have a solid specialty cocktail menu..... Drink and Dinner Menu

Here are a couple pics of what we ordered (sorry, some are poor quality). The Bone Marrow with Chimichurri stole the show. Thats why i went back the next night...ordered 2.

Brussel Sprout Salad

Tempura Broccolini with Spicy Remoulade Aoli

Seared BBQ Lamb Ribs

Roasted Marrow Bones & Brisket with Chimichurri & Toast
holy heck these were good

"Turkey Cobb" Leg for 2, Local Greens, St. Pete's Bleu, Grapes, Mustard & Bacon Jus
I would have never ordered this, but it was pretty solid. Took the suggestion of the bartender after the Bone Marrow

Slow Roasted Pork Shoulder with Pickled Greens

Dont have time for a full review....but this place is really good. Check it out for housemade cocktails and great small plates.
