not really. mcconnell has been up 6-8pts in the polls. and they obviously have exit polling for KY that shows mcconnell easily winning.

This outcome has significance in terms of Hillary 2016. Grimes threw out her name countless times in her campaign and the Grimes and Clinton families are tight.

Could be. Virginia is a weird state for returns if I recall correctly. Lots of regional partisan differences.
