Which you you prefer?

AFTER we win the Super Bowl this year...

Next year or so Drew goes down and we wind up 1-15 and with the first pick in the draft and are able to draft an Andrew Luck type QB

OR

A couple more years of deep playoff runs with Drew at the helm and then draft our QB of the future in the late first round when Drew retires?

I rather we win the next 4 super bowls, drew rides off into the sunset like john elway and we draft the next tom brady in the 6th round.

Are there even any Andrew Luck type QBs in college right now? I haven't seen one that's looked nearly as good. Hopefully we'll get lucky with someone in the future, but it's very unlikely...

I know. I haven't seen anyone remotely comparable.

But, it was a hypothetical.

When did Luck really hit the scene as a potential top prospect, or Luck type QB? I don't recall hearing much about him until his junior year, but I don't really pay that much attention until a player is eligible for the draft.

I want at least one more SB with Drew and CSP.

After that I'll spend most of my leisure time drinking bourbon and flipping off every falcon fan, pudit, Roger G and a few select posters that I find

I get that, but was he on the radar before that? In his sophomore year, was he anyone worth noting? Because if not, there is a possibility to have a great QB coming out, but they are just a Fresh or Soph.

By no means am I saying I want what the OP suggested, just wondering.

Luck was appointed as the #1 pick and viewed as can't miss his Soph year but decided to stay his Junior year.

Obviously the former

This. He was a RS Soph. and therefore eligible for the draft. Just about everyone agreed he would have been the #1 pick that year had he come out. Instead, it was Cam Newton. Think about that, the Panthers could have had Luck as their QB!
