How will elections be 20 years from now?

So I'm sitting here in a hotel lobby in Pennsylvania, and half the commercials are attack ads for the upcoming elections tomorrow. Of these attack ads, I've noticed that they point out a public intoxication charge (no date cited), a divorce, and college thesis paper being used in the attacks.
And these people were in college and high school well after the arrival of social media. Soon enough, my generation that were in college/high school when social media first came onto the scene will be seeking office. Unless you're a complete prude, there has been something embarrassing of you put onto the internet. It really seems as if that my generation, no matter how qualified they may be, is almost unelectable now thanks to the magic of the internet.
So will these pointless attacks still matter decades from now, or will people stop really giving a shite about some dumb and pointless things people have done and stop pretending that our elected officials should be flawless beings?

Well if you are white, you will be required to show 4 forms of identifaication
If you are brown or black you will be able to vote atleast 6 times, as long as you only vote for the dem.
If you are gay, you will get to skip the line.
If you are Christian, you will be required to prove that you are not voting based on your beliefs.

i hope you are like 80, b.c i thought you were young and this is no way for a young person to think IMHO.
I think elections in 20 years will be much like they are now, but yes there will be lots of dirt to throw at people.

Always going to be dirt but we have become more and more desensitized to scandal.
People used to lose elections after a scandal. Now it doesn't matter to either party. We make sure our party gets elected no matter what the candidate has done.
Seems to be getting worse and worse. Cheating could get your election dreams destroyed, now you can cheat, visit hookers, snort coke and steal from the electorate all the while receiving all the votes needed to win.
Both sides are at fault. Don't see how to turn back the clock.
24 hour news and social media continue to desensitize us to bad behavior.

There will be no elections in 20 years. We will not survive the 17 Trillion in debt. Obama will ad to it for 2 more years. 20 Trillion can not be survived. Ask Rome, Spain, etc. We will be a food stamps/welfare country by then. There will be only Democrats as a party. Lies and Sol Alinsky politics will prevail.
