Yep, that was easily the worse one. I think only two of the ten games Alabama didn't outscore us in the second

You can throw out the record book for this one.

No - I mean really: please throw it out.

I appreciate the work and it is always interesting to see historical data. Having said this, all of it means nothing for this game.

It's crazy that a quarter of the home wins have happened since Miles has been here. Such a lopsided series, especially in Baton Rouge.

Surprising how close to .500 the away record is, especially when compared to the overall record. Time to fix that home stat.

What it means is:

IT'S ANYBODY'S GAME. We can win or we can lose. There is no sure outcome. As fans, we have to show up to win.

Is interesting and disgustingly bad stats before CLM, however, wondering why your totals don't add up:
76 games played
78 games from record
75 from H & A totals
Sorry, just curious

Missing a win and 2 losses somewhere. The Mulligan Bowl may be part of that, since it was a neutral site. The stats were even worse before Saban, he was 4-1 against Bama while he was here.

Since 2006, we've never been ranked lower than #15 heading into this game.

Great post. This is the weirdest thing about it though. I'd completely forgotten that we were ranked in the top 20 and that the game was for control of the West at the time. I guess I blocked it out since after the LSU game we didn't win again until the bowl game, losing to Croom, ULM, and Auburn
