Wanted to do a Q&A with the board. I'll ask a few questions and give a few thoughts on the game.

49ers Injury Report non-IR
Tramaine Brock (#1 CB) - Should play
Patrick Willis - Should play
Aldon Smith - Might be reinstated
Bowman - Out
Dorsey - Likely out

49er strengths:
- Run defense
- Defensive turnovers
- WR Depth

49ers weakenesses
- OL has struggled really bad (five different starting combinations in 8 games due to injuries)
- Pass Protection and Kaep Pocket Awareness
- Offensive play calling (greg roman wants to use all the new WR weapons in spread formations, but the OL can't give Kaap time to set his feet.) AKA we don't try to run the ball first anymore.

Questions for Saints

1. Is there a difference in the game atmosphere for a 12:00, 3:00, and night game time?

2. What is the primary cause of the running game improvement?

3. What are your top two strengths & weaknesses?

Yes. Huge. Noon games are pretty quiet early on. Primetime games are otherworldly.

There's a lot to say on this but the primary reason is a commitment to running it. I know that's simple, but SP is sticking with it. Ingram is also running really hard. Line is blocking well.

Primetime night game atmosphere is definately the best.
All those fans have been drinking all day and they come to yell

I would say the the 3 and 12 starts are about the same, but for 3 there has been a little more drinking before the game

if the saints get on top early, the dome always rocks
If they get down early, the crowd noise suffers

We have to jump on them early and never look back!

Commitment to the run. Sean hasn't been going all pass like he is prone to do. And...

1. Yes. Primetime is intense. I had a buddy of mine come to a primetime game when he first moved down here from Chicago and he said he's never experienced anything so loud. He has gone to noon games since and he said "nah, nothing beats that first game"

2. Primary cause of the improvement? Its always been there this season. You've seen the run game vastly improved from years past because of a solid LT/C vs. last year and a better scheme imo. Ingram as a #1 back is definitely making things easier for our offense/offensive line and it keeps the opponents on their toes instead of showing our hand before the snap even starts. Committing to the run throughout the game, even when it doesn't net chunk yards is another reason.

3. Top 2 strengths? Drew Brees and the newly found Pass rush.
Top 2 weaknesses? Offensive line's INTERIOR pass protection and Corey White. I would say #2CB, but ever since Patrick Robinson got sent to the doghouse, he's come back playing better, it reminds me of the 2011 version of him. Very aware of the ball, makes good football plays, and gets targeted less because he's stuck to his man. Teams know, Corey White is our weakness and they will zone into him. one miscue though, he'll get a turnover, but how many miscues will you make compared to how many plays will you make against him?

I hate noon games, but if you're going to play a noon game you might as well have it be against a west-coast team like the 49ers.
