Verizon iphone availability question

With the month-long expected wait times for the 6+.....is there any way I can order my new phone even though my upgrade eligibility isn't until first week of december?
I do plan on switching to the Edge payment plan when I upgrade....just wondering if they'd let me place the orders now or sooner?

I just randomly checked idevicechecker.com on Saturday for 6+ 64 GB and best buy showed them in stock. Drove there, picked it up. I suggest doing that

how does it work purchasing a phone at best buy?
they have folks knowledgable about the available plans and upgrade options just like you would speak to at a verizon store?
