California to purchase a Shrimp Poboy. Not in a joking "can't find a decent Shrimp Poboy there" compared to Louisiana kind of way, like legit stood with conviction in her voice and stated that there is not a single shrimp Poboy for sale in the Golden state. Can anyone here corroborate that statement? Thanks guys!

Google shrimp poboy California and a place in San Fran pops up. I assume there are some other places.

Hilarious and she's from Radondo beach which I'm pretty sure is right next to there. It's like she prides herself on saying the most retarded things imaginable. She is the only human being on this planet that I can say I almost genuinely hate.

lots of places in chicago say they have "po-boys"

but not a single one has a real new orleans poor boy. they put their fried seafood, which is usually panko battered, on italian loaves and regular bread. it's quite offensive.

thanks man. I meant to post this on the OT but this is how it went down: My Mom brought her a shrimp Poboy from George's earlier and asked her if she had ever had a Shrimp PB. I laughed and said "really mom? It's not a monkey heart, it's a shrimp PB." Sis-n-law then informs me that they don't have Shrimp PBs in California. Seeking some clarification I asked "oh you mean like its tough to find a good one there compared to here?" She then reiterated with complete seriousness in her voice that no, there is in fact not a single shrimp Poboy for sale in the entire state of California. I laughed then she got legit pissed and walked away. Girls that laugh at themselves for saying/thinking silly shite is cute/endearing. She is just dumb and vigorously defensive of her dumbness and I needed to vent how it made me feel to the Food and Drink board on TD.

Had a shrimp poboy at George's at midnight after the LSU v. Ole Miss game last weekend. Was fabulous, but it may have been the post game buzz.

The guy who opened Parish is from LA, so he probably does it well.

I have eaten more than one shrimp poboy in California. Not saying they're great, but they exist.
