Yeah they don't write deep lyrics and they generally play the same three notes, but I think there's something fun about turning your brain off and enjoying some loud rock every once in a while. frick it

Every time I listen to "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution," I get a little dumber and a little more awesome.

In my top 5; especially love the Bon Scott years. Dirty, raunchy, straightforward rock and roll. Love'em.

Music doesn't have to be groundbreaking or intellectual to be good. AC/DC is simply 100% pure rock and roll. I think they are awesome.

They were gritty rock and roll. I like 'em!

Can't stand them personally but certainly acknowledge their influence.

I never cared for them. And there is a lot of big, loud, dumb rock that I enjoy a lot.

one of the catchiest riffs ever...
Back in Black
I could Almost play it once or twice.

I was pretty sheltered as a kid, and one night when I was maybe 8, I was in my bedroom listening to 106.1, The Zephyr, at a low volume to keep my parents from hearing it. "Hard as a Rock" came on. When I heard that opening rift for the first time, it was almost like something came alive in me. It was my first taste of real rock music.

They haven't been the same since Bon Scott died.

Just a good ol hard rock band. I like em but prefer the Back in Black and earlier stuff.
What's mind boggling is just how many albums they've sold but yet I feel like any of those band members could stroll into any public place outside of Australia and not be easily recognized.

I'm tired of this horeshit. I love Bon but people act like the band lost all of their integrity and edge once he died.
The truth is that Highway to Hell, the first record produced by Robert "Mutt" Lange, is the most commercial-sounding and weak record that AC/DC put out during their tenure with Bon on lead vocals.
It's not like they left on as much of a high note as people make it sound. Yes, it was the album that broke them among the mainstream crowd, but it didn't revolutionize hard rock in the way that the subsequent record did.
Brian Johnson entered that band in 1980 as one of the most powerful vocalists in the entire music scene.
Bon once saw Johnson perform with his original band Geordie while AC/DC was doing the UK club scene during the late '70s. Bon spoke highly of Johnson and thought he was an exceptional rock singer. The funny thing is that when Bon saw Geordie play, Johnson was dealing with his appendicitis and was experiencing an immense amount of pain while singing.
Back in Black and For Those About to Rock are two of the most powerful albums in the history of hard rock. Stop acting like AC/DC fell off and became more like Van Hagar once Bon passed away.

They are awful. Possibly the worst popular act of the last 50 years.
