Several websites have said not to add salt when boiling royal reds because they are briny enough. I can't imagine not having salt in the boil seasoning. What say the FDB?

I've heard steaming them is the way to go. I've never cooked them though Darla.

I do a splash of liquid crab boil and then dip them in drawn butter at the table, the ones I have had have not been much more salty than regular shrimp

Steam them. Put a cup or two of white vinegar in the water.

They don't need salt. I just add a little old bay for the hell of it.

Easy to overcook them. Drop them in almost boiling water and they are done. Very sweet like crab claw meat.
