Monday (November 3rd) is National Sandwich Day.

During my time here, I have seen wonderful/beautiful/impressive photos of sandwiches, both homemade and store bought.

Let's share history and current events. Post your favorite Sandwich photos so we can have a place to go to for inspiration and to work up a drool.

I'll start and then add more if others are interested in making this into something.

Post early and often.

Strip steak with caramelized onions on warm crusty bread.

No photos? Then post your favorite sandwich photo from the interwebs. Just try to let us know what it is.

Turkey Melt from Counter Culture- turkey, avocado, spicy mayo, pepper jack cheese all toasted together and served on a jalapeño cheddar sourdough bun.

Anything that Newk's serves on that French bread. Just crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside.

Does this count as a sandwich? Or just a heart attack on a plate?
