These frickers leading are not human. I can't fathom running that fast for that far.

When I started road cycling I was doing 13mph for 30 miles. These people run that. I feel like such a pussy.

Back when I use to run I could keep a 5:30 pace for about 15 miles, then eventually level off to a 5:45/5:50 pace for a full marathon. Good times.

Imagine doing an ironman. swim 2.4 miles, cycling 112 at 20mph, jog 7minute miles for 26.2 miles.

I'm going to start triathlon training in December, but there's no way I could ever finish a full ironman. Maybe a half.

The pace is extremely slow because it's so windy. The world record went down a few weeks ago. 2:02:57. Averaging 4:41 miles. It's one of that numbers that's so absurd that you can't even wrap your mind around it.

Yea, in terms of world record pace it's off, but for anyone to call it slow is a fool.

I've got a few friends running today ... so excited for them but they've got to be freezing their asses off.

When does the sub two hour marathon happen? Within 5 years? 10? Less?

I personally think it's less of a time thing and more of a conditions thing. When the conditions (weather, course difficulty, etc) are near perfect, it'll happen.
