The Miles-Saban series indicates that this game won't be truly decided until the 4th quarter.

My question to LSU fans is do y'all have an objective reason to think your offense will have much more success than Arkansas did at home a few weeks ago?

Look at these rushing offense stats from CFB Stats.

Name G Att Yards Avg. TD Att/G Yards/G
4 Arkansas 8 351 2071 5.90 26 43.88 258.88

5 LSU 9 439 2031 4.63 22 48.78 225.67

The loudest LSU fans are growling that LSU is much improved. Your team will prove that if they win the SEC West. I'm not conceding the outcome of Saturday's game, but I'm just pointing out that the two greatest teams on LSU's schedule (Mississippi State & Auburn) dominated LSU when it counted. Florida, Kentucky, and Ole Miss did not have power running games and were vulnerable to them, so they weren't able to exploit LSU's weaknesses.

Back on topic, how is your offense relative to Arkansas's? Neither Alabama nor LSU have a good reason to be cocky. Any LSU fan that thinks LSU is going to run over Alabama is operating on gut feelings rather than reason. Any Alabama fan that thinks Alabama won't struggle in Death Valley is kidding themselves. The game will be a war. Good luck and let's hope for an injury-free game!

Arkansas doesn't have near the offensive talent that LSU does. Especially at WR.

They are opposites. Allen is the better QB but the dude falls apart under pressure. Jennings plays better in crunch time.

You sound way to level headed to be a BAMA Fan.

Agreed. LSU was able to impose its physical will on Ole piss. We cant do that against bama. honestly, I think bama by 14....maybe 21.

Maybe...but if we eliminate turnovers (like we had against Ole Miss) the game will be within a field goal one way or the other in the waning moments......

I despise your pragmatic pessimism...

LSU and Bama will be a slug fest...honestly, I do not see either team being up by 2 scores late in the game.....

If LSU can produce a defensive effort like Arkansas, this is going to be a nasty good game. I think Sims' running ability will be the difference one way or the other. If he's contained, LSU wins. If he breaks loose and converts some big 3rd downs, Bama wins.

I really think Tiger Stadium @ night will get cranking for Bama and that will be our biggest advantage. LSUs biggest advantages over Ark is # 1 our field goal kicker (huge difference here), our receivers, the talent level of our running backs and we have better DBs.
Bama has had serious road issues this year. If this game were in BDS, it's Bama's game. Tiger Stadium @ night will give Bama a very hard time.
I totally expect a Les Miles classic. Just hope LSU pulls it out.

In true gump fashion, you answered your own question and reason for posting in the first place.

Cumulonimbus, About 20 years ago I gave up all certainty when it comes to what 20 year old kids are going to do

Bama is a terrible matchup for LSU. They have a tough front seven to take away the only thing LSU does well, and they can exploit LSU's main defensive weakness by running the ball. I see nothing but bad matchups for LSU, so my prediction is...

Tigers by 7, you Gump mother fricker!

LSU is going to have play a game like they played against aTm last year; bump & blanket Cooper (Evans), contain Simms (JFF) & not let him extend plays, force some turnovers, & control the clock. If the crowd is in this game for 4 quarters, these young Tigers will feed off of that & give Bama more than they can handle. Remember, Bama's secondary is not the typical Saban "machine" & Simms & this team have not played great on the road.

Who has Arkansas played? How many true freshman also? Not to mention our D is way better than theirs. Worry about the Alabums why does everyone feel the need to compRe everything? Alabama is good, we will see what happens Saturday

Why? Dude is clearly trolling. Everyone on here knows our run game is our strength and everyone on here fears what might happen if BAMA can take that away. No one is over confident about beating BAMA. This a-hole just wanted to point out that our rushing stats are comparable to Arkansas, a team BAMA beat so clearly BAMA will beat us. Never mind that they almost lost that game.

I really wish we could lock opposing fans out of this board. We've already got plenty of our own who love to point any difficiencies this team has. We don't need some BAMA fan who thinks he's clever telling us what we already know.
