Search for top 50 discussion on this site and do some research off that.

6 days does you plenty of time.

I just went back to NOlA after 20 years and I bookmarked several restaurant threads. Poboy....Guy's is where we went. It is a hole in the wall, cash only and the shrimp poboy was very good. Peche for dinner was fantastic. The other dinner recs were Herbsaint, Conchon, La Petite Cafe.....brunch is Atchafalaya. Make sure you bump this thread in the afternoon when people are sober.......or more sober.

Definitely try and make it Casamento's. Like Guy's cash only, but worth it. Casual.

What area are you staying in ? Also don't limit yourself to 3 meals a day. Work in some happy hour spots for some small plates. You will be able to scratch off many places from your list this way.

Had it last week and have to say it was pretty good. Not a tomato or seafood gumbo fan, but couldn't complain about it.

For red beans and rice, stand in The Quarter. Throw a rock. If it hits a bar or restaurant, eat there.

I've yet to find bad red beans and rice. From higher end places to shitholes.
