We go to Disney every year and haven't bought park tickets from Disney in 10 years.
We always book a room only reservation with Disney and buy our park tickets from UT.

what kind of discounts are you looking at from there? I'm thinking about planning something there for next year, but I've heard the tickets have gotten ridiculous

We bought from them on our trip last September. No problems. It was a little wierd picking them up at the ups store. But no problems. Sign up for the news letter they send out monthly and there is a little more of a discount. I believe they send it out on the 15th of each month.

Bought our universal tickets off there. Website says to allow like 12 weeks for delivery or something like that....I had my tickets 10 days later

Yes it is legit, but you will have to link your tickets separately to your My Disney Experience account in order to book FP+ at 60 days for a resort guest or 30 days for an off site guest.
Because you have to link them separately you have to wait for them to be shipped to you which can take up to a week or two.
If you buy them directly through Disney and on My Disney Experience they are automatically linked for you.
