Well, it started when Beethoven moved over and told Tchaikovsky the news. He was aces after that.

He doesn't sound like anything at all.

Orchestras that play his compositions often sound very good, though.

He understood that the brass instruments had been woefully underutilized prior to him and fixed it.

Always wrote strong and ballsy parts for them, especially the trombones.
