Anybody who really loves you is not going to sit back and watch you destroy yourself. They will try to help you, and when that fails they're gonna walk.

Well at 28 you unfortunately only have 2 options :

1. Recognize that you have a problem. It's time to take control of your life and grow up. No self respecting woman worth a shite will settle down an devote her life to an alcoholic.

Or

2. Go marry another alcoholic or a drug addict. Because hey take them as they are. And you can raise a smack head kid and fill him with all your excuses and issues.

That's the hard truth man. And I pray that you choose the first option. Tiger Droppings can be a rough stupid place but sometimes there's good advice here. Take it. Seek help. There's no shame in it. Especially coming from an addiction prone background.

I wish you the best of luck.

So narrow minded... I know I'm an alcoholic and have told her that multiple times. I'm just not going the rest of my life saying "oh I can't drink". If that leads to a single life I'm fine with that.

It's your life, live it as you damn well please. Applaud the no driving while drinking.

This is the biggest piece of bullshite yet.

You don't want advice, or someone to listen to you. You want validation for this thing you don't consider a problem.

You are too far gone for help.

It's not saying "oh I can't drink", it's getting to the point where you tell yourself "I could drink, but I don't want to". Personally I love beer, at my most I was downing about 12 a night. Haven't had one in almost a year. Still like it, and could have one whenever I want, just choose not to.

Just saying I can't makes the mind crave it more. Have to play a trick on yourself. One day though, if you keep up this pace. It will be "I can't" because if you do, you'll die.

I think you should really escalate your drinking to the next level now that your SO is gone.

That way you can hit rock bottom sooner and maybe get help.

No I'm not. I've watched addiction destroy 2 lives in my personal family.

I can tell you with 100% certainty my uncle thought the same way as you. Thankfully he is finally clean now, but he's old and full of regret.

Good luck to you man. I sincerely hope you seek help.
