Other than Danielle Harris being topless. I really liked the final scene where Laurie is in the insane asylum. I thought he nailed the song choice.

I liked the first one. Second one is beyond awful. Even has Michael talking.

I never saw why people thought he was a great director. Has he produced anything worth a shite?

Never understood the point of sitting through his movies.

No real suspense - no redeeming qualities. No satire, no comment on society.

Just ignorant and disgusting psychopaths being ignorant and disgusting psychopaths.

Devil's Rejects...

Made Natural Born Killers look like Citizen Kane.

At least 2 is its own thing; it's bad but it's watchable bad. The first is a shitty prequel and then an almost shot-by-shot remake of the last half of the original.

I've never watched it but I've read that the making of doc on The Devils Rejects is a tutorial on making an indie horror movie.

Halloween II by Rob Zombie, absolutely. This is one scene he did well though. I would do dirty dirty things to Scout Taylor-Compton

I intentionally drank enough alcohol to black out before the end of this turrible movie.

Only reason I watched those two movies all the way through to the end was because I paid money to rent them.

what's weird is how different Rob Zombie changed the character of Michael Meyer's mother from the first movie to the second one

It was so bad it killed the franchise. Something Busta Rhymes couldn't even do.

Couldn't improve on the originals. Just a money-vehicle for RZ.

Devils Rejects is the only Rob Zombie movie I've kind of sorta liked. He focuses way too much on sexual violence and gore for the sake of gore for me to really care for his work on the whole. I really didn't like his take on the Halloween series. I hated that he tried to give semi sympathetic reasons for MM being evil. I mean how the frick is it scary to make his family so shitty that we're like "oh makes sense that he went nuts"? The fact that I'd rather watch the awful Paul Rudd (6) and Busta Rhymes (8) versions if I was forced to make a choice makes me sad.

Agreed. His scripts are horrible. It's like he sees all women as dirty sluts and all men as sexually driven scum bags. His characters are just fricking disgusting.
