The ones that don't hang out smoking at bars in the middle of the day? They are the ones that weren't raised right? That is gold.

I'm sure sitting around a campfire for an extended period of time is more harmful to your lungs than smelling cigarette smoke on occasional gusts of wind. That's probably not even debatable

What everyone could do is stop being a god damn pussy and realize that very small exposures to smoke in any form will not hurt you

Thanks to 25 years of evolution, it is now common knowledge that not wearing a seatbelt in a moving vehicle traveling 70 mph is incredibly unsafe. This thought would have never crossed anyone's minds 25 years ago...

You know what the real reason is? Twenty five years ago, people didnt have a message board to bitch about things on.

Bunch of fricking pussies up in this thread. What do you when you go out to a bar?

Most of them that aren't full of 18 year olds don't allow smoking inside.

You could smoke everywhere back then...you would have done a lot of bitching.

A little. I understand bitching about someone smoking where kids are trying to play but people here will bitch about someone smoking a couple hundred feet from them outdoors. I just don't see why someone getting a brief smell of smoke would let it get them so worked up.

Why would you be so angry at someone smoking then?

I'm fairly certain the seat belt laws were put into place well before the emergence of message boards

One is known to cause cancer, and leukemia/brain tumors in children you simple frick. The other is a campfire.

Really? So second-hand smoke diluted by the air outside is more harmful to a childs still developing lungs than sitting at a campfire in an atmosphere where they are breathing in anything but pure air and more than likely a mixture of 50% smoke/ 50% oxygen?

Media, anti-smoking ads, people who've had family members die from lung cancer, etc...

Who lets their kid stand over the top of a campfire?

Sweet strawman
