Can someone please let me know where the best place to score a marine battery on the fly in Jefferson/Elmwood, La. area..I'll even venture in Orleans if need be.

Thanks in advance & I promise to not clog the board up with stupid questions in the future.

I need to change all on batts in the boat. I have cabelas AGM's and they are almost 7 yrs old now. I have no complaints about those batts. But the problem is that cabelas went and changed their batts. All of them are listed with way less juice now. My grp 24 batts are rated 1195 MCA, 945 CCA, 178 min reserve. The new cabelas grp 24 is rated substatantially less. Anyone know what gives there? Why screw with a good thing?

What are good battery alternatives for AGMs? Sure would like to stay in group 24 or 27 due to space/weight too.
