It had some very high points and some very low points.

I'm a sucker for "the cavalry coming to the rescue", so the Iron Bots were a big hit for me.

Fake Mandarin and kid sidekick were low points.

The main villain was pretty boring. Three movies, three rival tech guys as the villain. Mix it up please.

Why would someone refuse to "admit" that a movie is good? Because I really want people to know that I wasted my time and money?

I was so into this movie when the Mandarin was scaring the shite out of people. Then it just fell apart.

And the rival tech guy thing is out of hand. I thought 2 was stupid for that reason alone, not to mention other mistakes, and they go back to the same well again.

ETA: I saw it on a plane too.

Fools on this board be going around saying its the worst comic movie ever.

I'm not saying you have to say its a good flick if you didn't like it. But its a hell of a lot better than people here act and nowhere close to being the worst comic film put to celluloid.

No. It really wasn't.

Why couldn't he say House Party to start the movie?

Why did he tell the terrorist WHERE HE LIVED, then didn't activate any security?

Why did Pepper's handblaster work even though attached to no power source?

Why did the writer shite all over the best Iron Man villain?

Why was Stark such a whiny bitch?

Why was half the movie about Stark being a whiny panic attacked bitch?

Why do you claim this movie was anything other than a steaming midden heap on a 105 degree summer day?

uhh... b/c the suits weren't ready due to him having a nervous breakdown. He wasn't sleeping so all his work had turned to shite.

b/c he's an arrogant arse whose judgement had gone to shite after his mind was blown going through a wormhole. Pepper is even like "WTF is wrong with you" before they get attacked.

Mini power source inside the hand blaster perhaps? Its not really a stretch that he would set those up to work w/o the full suit.

for the lulz

Oh noes!!! Character development!!!! The hero isn't alpha male 100% of the time! Again, the dude is having a nervous breakdown b/c of what he went through in The Avengers.

Finding out there are aliens that have gigantor flying worm carriers and guiding nukes through wormholes us rough shite mayne.

b/c it wasn't bad the way you want it to be.

I thought it was ok. Tony being out of the suit so much didn't bother me. Likewise with the Mandarin twist, solid troll IMO

The writing was horrible though. The entire premise of Tony's home being attacked and destroyed was retarded. I didn't buy his anxiety over almost dying in Avengers, after almost dying multiple times in the first Iron Man.

One of my buddies ran into Don Cheadle the eve of the premiere, and Cheadle told him "he had fun" when he asked him about it.

Pretty funny story actually. My buddy was golfing with a coworker, and his coworker thought the guy behind them looked like Don Cheadle. A few holes later, the guy walks up and asks if they could merge the two twosomes to make four. It was Don Cheadle. Of course they agreed. They played it cool until the 16th hole, and my friend's coworker broke: "Man. I'm just gonna say it. I love your movies." Don was really cool about it. He took a picture with them and emailed it to them later that day from his personal email.

Yeah, I liked it. Thought it moved the character along.

I was disappointed with The Mandarin. Poor conclusion, there.

It was pretty good, overall.
