The guy does have a crazy catch radius. I thought he might be slower than he looked in college especially given his 40 time, but then he recently admitted he ran slow on purpose to fall to a better team.

Do you think the negative reports before the draft were leaked by his camp as well?

It was definitely talked about as a possibility, and he did refuse to meet with a team after agreeing to meet with them(forgot who).

Many people said that it was bullshite but it happens all the time and it looks like that was the case with KB.

It's a risky move and some teams, even if they know it's posturing and positioning, are turned off by players that would do that. And that is also the reason I wanted to stay away from him.

When it comes to the draft, anything goes for both players & organizations. Some people tend to over analyze everything pre draft. Unless a guy has shown extreme off the field issues, they should only look at what a player has done on the field. Benjamin was a beast last year & he had his best game against a Florida secondary that was loaded with talent.

I just scanned through the in-game threads at catscratchreader.com... and it was fun.

Some of those clowns don't think Lofton had the ball on that recovery.

I went from being HUGE on Benjamin to "stay away" mode over a few months before the season as some issues with his character came out. The talent was always there, though.

The thing that a lot of people praising him (not that he doesn't deserve it) are missing is that he's a few years older than most rookies. You really can't compare him to, say, Cooks or Watkins or Landry or etc...

'Hey i know there were some bad throws there by cam and many drops by receivers and no olsen again and crappy shula and ron and blah...blah..blah

but we recovered that fumble.... shoulda been 0-0

saints 3rd TD i believe every fan on the planet could see that there were HUGE holds on almost every play.... shoulda been 7-7

regardless of the jackwagon call to not give williams the TD... KB was interfered with big time on that second down and again on the high pass by CAM... shoulda been 14-14

so there it is.... this one is on the REFS!!!!!!"

Best free agent acquisition by Gettleman this offseason?

Gettleman got too confident after last season

This is the EXACT reason I said Carolina would take a big fall this year. Gettlemen and Rivera got too cocky after lucking out last year on "cheap labor" and tried the same approach this year. Only problem is the talent level from last year's batch was a good bit better than this year's.
