Flex spot, non ppr standard: do I start Brandin Cooks@ Carolina or Hawkins vs putrid Tampa pass D.

Cooks had great week last week and Hawkins has better matchup.

Don't expect the Cooks you saw last week. Youll see the Cooks of the week 2-7 Cooks

Payton and Brees had a game plan to get Cooks heavily involved in that game. As you saw on the sweep TD.

Ingram will probably be involved a ton in this one. Plus Colston hasn't scored in a while. Wouldn't surprise me if he got a TD. Saints offense is suspect on the road as well.

Just temper your expectations tonight. He's still probably the better play

Am also starting Ingram so i guess should hedge my bet and go with Hawkins. Stats speak for themselves. Gut says Hawkins, its just that being a Saints fan is diluting my judgement, esp after i benched Cooks last week when he blew up.

Well, sure, but it doesn't change the fact that Cooks has been worthless on the road this season.

Of course you look good if he plays well, but going into the game, statistics speak otherwise.

I'm torn on Cooks tonight, but he's in my Flex regardless. I think it's going to be the Ingram/Jimmy/Cooks show as much as the Saints can make it that way ROS.

I'm on the Cooks bandwagon tonight with Julio and Golden Tate on bye.

he went 7/77/1 on the road in W1 vs Atlanta. worthless on the road? meh, he didnt do well in 3 road games. hardly a correlation bt his home/road spilts production

statistics say he's the most targeted WR on the 2nd best passing offense in the NFL

Statistics say he is worse on the road than Hawkins is at home. Statistics say he is going against the 18th ranked pass defense in the NFL and Hawkins is going against the 30th ranked pass defense in the NFL. Statistics say he has been targeted ten less times than Hawkins.

Again, he plays well, you look good. But, it is simple logic: statistics say you should play Hawkins.

It's more fluid than straight 8 game sample IMO.

A disclaimer for what? I have explicitly stated the guy should start Hawkins over Cooks. If Cooks plays well in the second half, and the OP started him, all the power to him and I was wrong. By no means would I deny responsibility.
