This is what a real war on women looks like....

quote:

Thousands of women remain hostage. And with ISIS successfully defending its territory from a loose coalition of Iraqi military, Iraqi Kurdish peshmerga, Syrian Kurdish militants and US-led airstrikes, it doesn't look like a white knight will charge in to rescue these poor women any time soon.
Begikhani said all of the 100 Yazidi women rescued from ISIS appeared to have been systematically raped, likely by more than one man.

Course it's no better for the males.

quote:

A United Nations report explained what happened next. ISIS "gathered all the males older than 10 years of age at the local school, took them outside the village by pick-up trucks, and shot them."

Imagine being a 11 or 12 year old little boy. Imagine what it was like for them in those last moments while they were being herded into trucks.

This is disgusting but not at all surprising. Don't these men and women have some responsibility for their fate though? If you are not a radical Islamist, you should be fleeing the region immediately. What do they expect when they remain in their villages?

How about I show up in your neighborhood and rape your wife and kill your kids. Then someone will come along and ask you why you didn't relocate to New Hampshire.

If those people have the opportunity to leave without getting caught, then yeah, it's a serious assertion.

I'd be mad as hell if I had to just up and run away this second, but it beats the hell out of being shot.

Now I'm not entirely sure if they had/have the opportunity to leave given the circumstances, but if they did, it would have been wise to take it.

Well, look at Captain Obvious.

I'd say the fact that they were herded up and systematically shot indicates to me that they:

1) didn't have the luxury of prior notice to the intent of ISIS, or

2) had no means of escape.

But you go on with your idiocy.

So you really think there's a chance they could have left but the idea just never crossed their minds?
