There is so much stupid in this post I don't even know where to begin. You are obviously meeting the wrong type of women
Why take it there? I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's a retirement plan for women but I'm sure you have friends that have married financially secure men they were not in love with. You wouldn't call them bad people would you? It happens a lot.
When you talk about the history of mankind, love as a basis for marriage is a relatively recent development.

Women look for security in a relationship.
Men look for a caregiver for their children.
This is just simple biology.

True or False - Marriage is a retirement plan for womeni'm sure men get some benefit but it seems for most women the upside is so much better
Definitely some truth to this. Wife is basically retired in her 30s. And we have a maid and kid goes to preschool all day. I'm jealous.

to each his own, but I would lose respect for my wife if she was a stay at home mom and had a maid.

How attractive is the woman?
If she is really hot, he'll yes that is a primary goal for her whether she admits it (even to herself) or not.

I didn't look at my marriage as retirement. Even though I didn't work I was very busy with doing things for my family and for a local charity. I got married out of love and would have gladly worked at a traditional job if I needed to.
