Kershaw

Regular season: 211 games 98-49 2.48 ERA 3 CY (assuming he wins this year)
Postseason: 11 games 1-5 5.12 ERA -- 0 trips to the world series

Bumgarner

Regular season: 151 games 67-49 3.06 ERA
Postseason: 14 games 8-3 2.14 ERA 3 world series championships -- 0.26 ERA in 36 World Series innings. 3 World Series championships 1 WS MVP

Not who's the better pitch. But which career would you rather have?

Bumgarner no doubt.

Is this a serious question?

Bum will be a WS legend and talked about for the next 50+ years...I'd take that and his 3 rings in a heartbeat

Call me crazy but I'd take Kershaw. I'd rather have the Cy's and the shot at GOAT status

Let's make it this.

In the nfl QBs are judged by postseason success, specifically superbowls.

Given the fact that an mlb starting pitcher has much more effect on the outcome of a game than a QB, how in the hell in kershaw a better pitcher than bumgarner? And it's not as if bumgarner is terrible in the regular season

yea, 1 out of every 5 games.

he's great and all, but one pitcher doesn't bring you to the World Series. he's not better than kershaw, but he's had more postseason success.

If people payed attention they would know Mad Bum is a top 10 pitcher in the league. Dudes been money since he entered the league and is only 25

He's right behind Kershaw as far as talent and numbers

Or 3/7

I think both the giants and the royals would argue differently

Also, both of those statements would apply to kershaw equally as much as bumgarner

I chose Lincecum

3 World Series Rings
2 time CY Young winner
3 NL strikeout leader
2 no hitters
