We made it happen when it counted.
Ole Miss's D was either gassed or otherwise not as great as advertised.
We're actually pretty damn good albeit still working out some kinks.

Just think if we never fumbled, and our DBs could catch the ball! We did have one pick, and had another overturned by a Bs pass INT call. But damn, we coulda had, what? 5 picks?

Score should've been about 21-0

It should be good LAWD, how didn't we win this game by more than 3 points? We outplayed them in almost every conceivable way, and we still had to make a 4th quarter comeback because of turnovers.

We beat them at their own game. #1 at stop the run and we ran all over them.

The stupid refs didn't help. There were 4 horrible calls that I can think of off the top of my head but the team showed poise, on offense and defense, kept their wits and got it done.

Major props go out to everyone. The team, the coaches, the assistants.

Wallace is the most seasoned QB in the SEC and we made him really uncomfortable. When he starts jawjacking with fans in the stands, he's not focused.

And I love every second of it.

Take the whole ranking nonsense out of it and look at the boxscore. We outplayed Ole Miss in almost every facet of the game. We had 97 more total yards, 36 minutes for ToP, 127 more rushing yards, and less penalties for less yards. Ole Miss on the other hand only beat us on turnovers and passing where they were only 14-34 for 176 yards. The fact of the matter is we didn't play our A game and beat the #3 team in the nation.

We won because we have Les and he is a fourth quarter wizard!

I can't disagree with you, but we also won because the OL and Kenny Hilliard decided - "Hey, it's now or never."

I would argue they out punted us - their Australian just a little better than ours, coupled with the turnovers, that was the reason we played 80% of the game on our side of the 50.

Time of possession was 36 minutes. They were tired.

I also noticed that after Jamal Adams flopped, he camped out in Bo Wallace's head, not allowing him to throw the ball within 6 feet of a receiver. OM was moving the ball before that.

Our lines and LB's have come so far this year. There are still a few mistakes but they are now fine tuning, not starting at Mustang 101.

Kenny Hilliard also demoralized them when he threw that kid 5 yards out of bounds, like a B movie special effect. He ought to send that clip to the Saints with a note saying "Draft me."

I heard that whistle about 5 yards after Fournette had gotten up. Should have had 1st and goal

I heard the whistle in real time - seemed to me right as he was getting up. Haven't watched a replay of it.

What is the proper ruling on that. Does the ball go to where the Ref thought he was down, or where the ball actually is when he blows the whistle?

And what is the 'inadvertent' part of the call >> does that mean the Ref didn't intend to blow the whistle?> or is that just what they call a mistake in calling the runner down?

btw - I didn;t know there were any options = the team gets the choice of the play including the inadvertent spot or gets the down over again from the previous spot.

learn something new every day,.

I'll ask this question here rather than start a new thread. What's the deepest our punt returners are told to fair catch a punt?

LSU win because they physically dominated the lines of scrimmage. Best stay combo of the game:

About 260 td's rushing for LSU, with a long of about 25 yards.

That means it was a slow painful beat down.

TEAM effort. Mistakes aplenty were made and some calls that hurt drives but at the end of the day LSU won as a team. This is really good news and they are just getting better each week.

After we beat Bama the season will get really interesting.
