without being disgusted. I have loved so much of his stuff.

"Love and Death" is on Netflix, and it's about the only movie of his I haven't seen... and I can't bring myself to watch it.

I also have the same reaction to Roman Polanski... and to John Lennon's solo hits.

Is it OK to enjoy productions by people you despise?

Yes. If I enjoy something, why would the personal life of the person who made it bother me?

What about John Lennon now?

Did he molest kids too?

I can't stomach how he treated Julian. "Give peace a chance", my arse.

If it makes the guy rich, I personally don't support it. I will watch their movies for free, though.

I actually agree with you. I still like some of his solo work, but yeah, one of the biggest hypocrites ever.

I wish I was that way, but if I know someone is a massive dick IRL, I can't help but have that in the back of my head when viewing their movies. Kind of a curse I guess.

I cried... was sick to my stomach... when John was murdered. I grew up with the Beatles. They are a part of my being.

Then a few years later I heard Julian on NPR tell about his relationship with his father. Although Julian was gracious about the entire thing the hurt was obvious.

Now, I certainly wish John hadn't been murdered... but frick his music. I turn it off when it comes on the radio.

So someone has to be a perfect person in order for you to enjoy their work? Alright.

I never knew anything about Lennon and his son's relationship. What exactly did he do?

I've already mentioned Roman Polanski, but I believe Michael Jackson was innocent.

Jackson was a child molester. The reason he was exhonerated is because, of the laundry list of witnesses who saw him abusing kids, none of them could say for certain that they saw him abuse the specific kid he was on trial for molesting. That is the ONLY reason he didn't go to jail.

I have to explain this to people all the time, but I'll do it forever. The guy was a sick POS. I'm sure his own father being a POS had something to do with it, but still.

He was sick, a child himself, but I don't believe he sexually molested anybody.

I watched the trial. Over a dozen household staff and others testified that they saw him abusing kids firsthand. They can't all have been disgruntled.

How much involvement does someone have to have in a movie for you to avoid it?

Takes hundreds of people to make some of these films. Do you do the research to make sure that there are no sex offenders and pedophiles associated with them?

Should I have avoided seeing Days of Future Past based on the allegations against Brian Singer? Just say "frick you" to Jackman and the other actors... "I know that a thousand good people worked on this movie, but that one guy may be a perv, so I'm boycotting the lot of you."
