Brother Martin & Rummel are both undefeated in the same district, so I guess Brother Martin played a better non district schedule.

But Rummel is ranked in the top 15 in the nation according to the USA Today.

Bro Mart played Patterson, Ehret, Franklinton, East Ascension, and Vandebilt

Rummel played EAst St. John, Hahnville, Acadiana, Catholic, and Dutchtown.

Rummel's schedule was much tougher.

Acadiana is 5-3
Hahnville is 5-3
Dutchtown is 3-5

On paper it is a good schedule, but the big-name teams they are playing are underachieving.

Curtis might be getting power points that Rummel and BM can't by playing up

Not really. Hahnville lost to Rummel in 3 ot's, Destrehan (undefeated) and Thibodaux (1 loss).

Acadiana is 6-2.

Bro Mart played down in class in 3 of those out of district wins.

Just looking at the records can be deceiving.

Yeah, but an OT game or playing down aren't factored in to the power rankings.

Rummel's opponents, thus far, are 37-20 combined. Brother Martin's opponents are slightly better at 38-25. So, given the fact that both have identical 8-0 records, the team with the higher opponent win/loss record gets the better power ranking.

As far as Curtis is concerned, their opponents are 30-23...the worst of the 3 schools. BUT, I believe that since they are a 3A school, they still get bonus points for "playing up" and have taken on 3 5A schools and 1 4A school.

Just pointing out that the level of competition for the two has been different. None of it matters, it'll get settled on the field.

Interesting...Hahnville sitting in the last spot to host a 1st round game. Need to keep winning.

we're sitting at 42... one thing in the Owls' favor is that they should win both remaining games, while the teams between them and 32 probably won't

West Monroe at 14 with 2 wins left against 2 playoff teams. Should end up around 9-10.

The LHSAA ruled that Parkway used an inelgible player today. Parkway would have to forfeit wins for the games he participated in (most or all). That would knock them out and would hurt Byrd and Calvary too.

Very true. The last two weeks they've been throwing the ball real effectively; which probably is killing Salt since he wants to run. Brandon Singleton is almost impossible to cover. Not sure if Mike Neal comes back this week from his injury but the way Austin Perrin is playing QB I don't know if I would change things right now.

That is who it was... Ahhhh . Heard that was final straw for Henderson. That a North LA team was going to have to forfeit and he was against it.
