What were the thoughts on the offensive sets last night?

It was clear to me from the beginning Monty wanted AD to get his touches and into the game ASAP. Three shots in the first four or five possessions, IIRC.
I thought throughout the night, the sets were more creative than what was run last year and also got more people involved in the offense. He also wasn't afraid to let them keep shooting from deep, despite how shitty the shooting was. That's promising.

We ran the same sets as last year for the most part. Which is fine with me since set plays arent a particularly large problem for the Pels.

I did notice that they consistently ran the offense early on through Tyreke instead of Jrue, with Jrue playing "off".
They switched that up a bit for stretches, especially in the 2nd half.

I love that they didn't make Tyreke play the traditional SF role. The three guard lineup was legit.

What Totes said.
Still troubling how frequently the drivers throw up wild shots v 2 or defenders. Tons of attempts at the rim, but converted at a poor rate like usual. Like ATL said, good thing Asik is there to collect misses. And I thought the offense lost Davis in the second half a bit.
Not sure I'll ever like the scheme Monty runs or how the players execute it. But it's good enough to keep them competitive with just an average defense
