So my wife received a call from one of our child's classmates mother

Back story:
1st grade teacher is pregnant. She told all the parents at the Meet the Teacher event in August, but now she is starting to show. We told our daughter that Mrs. Teacher has a baby in her tummy and she asked how it got there.
Without going into grave detail about the process, we told her that her teacher and her husband decided they wanted a baby and decided to get pregnant.
Like 1st grade children do, my daughter went and discussed this at school. Another parent wasn't too happy that we didn't clear our discussions with her. My wife was fuming because this woman was yelling at her calling her a bad parent.
Were we wrong or is this woman just crazy?
