The three of them will be great all year, barring injury. Going to be a fun season!

Not to be a Debbie downer, but some of those are because we shot 40 percent

Who gives a shite if we shoot 40% when we rebound all of the misses!! Haha

But I see your point, not gonna shoot that bad all season so not that many rebounding opportunities

Yeah, the poor shooting was a big factor. We averaged 41.7 rebounds per game last year, good for 22nd in the league. Portland, ranked first in RPG last year, averaged 46.4. Last night the pelicans grabbed 62 boards. Magic grabbed 56. Those numbers are really high.

It was still an impressive performance by the big men, no doubt. But let's remember that it was one game with lots of rebounding opportunities. I hope Davis and Asik both average over 10 RPG, but I wouldn't call it a lock for that to happen.

The offensive boards and put backs were even a better telling tale.

Still cannot get over the free throws

Meh, that will come. We were one of the better FT% teams in the league last year. I was shocked, but it should not be a problem.

I was happy we were getting to the stripe. 31 free throw attempts is a lot for us. Last year we earned 23.6 FT/game, good for twelfth in the league. Houston earned the most (obviously ) with 31.1. We did hold a negative differential though (23.6 FTA, 26.5 opponent FTA).
