No there isnt. If Ole miss loses this weekend they will fall behind us
This is why I want to see what they do and how they move teams week to week. In a normal voter poll Ole Miss would not drop from 4 all the way behind us if they lose while we are off this weekend. But it should happen if they are truly giving new evaluations to teams each week.

First, I agree we need to worry about winning and let the rest take care of itself.
BUT, Something stinks here....
Teams 5-10 had "better losses" than Ole Miss. I.E. they lost to higher ranked teams that only had one loss. Ole Miss lost to a 2 loss team that most people do not think is that good.
Archie Who?

My only gripe is that LSU is ranked lower than OU... that makes zero sense. We should be the highest ranked 2-loss team no doubt. Can't really complain when 1-loss teams are ranked ahead; that's pretty much the way the polls have always worked. Bottom line is that if LSU wins out then everything else will sort itself out.

Bring back the computers!
Only a moron thinks every 1 loss team is better than every 2 loss team. I know that's not exactly how the rankings played out, but pretty close.
Computers are better at this than humans.

Of course not every 1-loss team is better than a top-notch 2-loss team, but a 1-loss team from a major conference, who wins their CCG, is going to get the nod over a 2-loss team who might be better. If LSU wants a spot in the playoff their only chance is to run the table and win the conference championship.

There was usually one team that had a gripe with BCS final 2, now we'll have at least 4 that will complain. It will be interesting having 12 people decide the fate of the world....

Just think about how Alabama feels.
I have reason to believe that There will be some backlash over this. By now , pretty much the entire nation are calling these, elitist suits, a bunch of politically swayed morons who may have been paid off.
And when Alabama speaks in the SEC , people listen. And in this case they would be 100% correct.

Winning and math...that's it. You'll NEVER have anything as clean as that so long as you allow some select committe to dream up a poll based on...well, who the hell knows what.

At least the BCS, when it was still largely relying on the computers to at least ATTEMPT to quantify which teams had had the best seasons, was set up to make an effort to take human bias out of it. It wasn't perfect, but it had the right intention
You are correct sir. I'm not comfortable with it being 100% selection committee based. In order for me to trust this system, they must incorporate computers and selection committee.
When I see OU ranked ahead of LSU...I lose confidence in the system. Not to sound like a homer, but how in the hell are we behind OU????
How can the selection committee justify that??
