shite it's hot outside in NOLA…today is the perfect day for the beach.

it's been a really warm fall so far I hope this continues throughout the winter. I love it when it's 75 in the middle of January.

Agreed. This 6 pack was canned 4 weeks ago. I chose it over Jai Alai.

I'll second all of that.

Weather is perfect right now. I hate going out to the beach in July. I sweat my arse off before getting the chairs setup and burn in 30 min.

Today is warm enough to swim. No sunscreen and no sunburn. Built a couple sandcastles and had a water balloon fight. Good times.

SBD: Alchemist Crusher

Thanks to UT for this one... Crazy to think that this brewery's second second best DIPA is better than anything we get in LA.

I picked up Abita's Bourbon Street Imperial Stout (10% ABV!) and Tin Roof's Rougarou today. Will upload later. Today is my Friday so I'm getting shithoused while watching some hockey tonight.

I really enjoyed that one.

Better than Abita's Imperator, so you chose wisely.

TBD: Firestone Walker Double Jack

I still love this DIPA, but the style feels a bit 'dated.' Way more malt flavor and aroma than the Alchemist DIPAs .

I like this year's version more so than last. Strikes a nice balance between roasty and hoppy. The bottle I had last week had a great hoppy aroma to it, and I got some nice chocolate flavor from it.

I was not impressed by the Imperator at all, was kinda hesitant with the Bourbon Street - but 10% abv aged stout was too tempting.

BTW both are at Colandro's on Perkins for $10/bottle, and they have them in the fridge selection.
