On paper, we should win this game, but... we're 0-4 on the road. Gotta change our mentality going into this game.

No matter where the game is played, it's always the same ball, the same goal post, the same field dimensions, the same equipment, the same Gatorade, etc... The only thing that changes is the weather and these guys have been playing football all their life in many different types of weather. No excuse for poor play, imo. It's just a mental thing.

Was surprised to see their defensive stats so far. I feel better going in to Thursday night, as long as they don't Mr. Hyde themselves into their typical road mistakes.

Really the difference in this season to years past is turnover ratios and some pretty bad penalties in a couple games that killed us. We haven't been "bad" most of year, we just have had critical plays that have killed us.

We should be 6-1. We were never in that Dallas game, but the Saints I think have lost by a grand total of 6 points in the three losses not counting Dallas. That's incredible.

Another thing is that, even though this is still a division game, the whole "Harper poking the hornets nest that is Steve Smith and him going off on us" factor isn't there anymore. That man seemed to thrive on hating us.

This. Pass D aside, we really are a pretty good team. It's just been some untimely mistakes that have led to late game collapses. Fix that and we're 6-1 at this point.

Fix it going forward and 10-6 is entirely possible

It really is interesting, but if you look back at the three losses outside of Dallas:

ATL, we were up 10 at the half, and gave up a tying field goal at the buzzer then the fumble in OT. We also put up 34 points in regulation.

Cleveland, we gave up a pick 6 and had a lead going into the end of the 4th quarter. We screwed on both sides at the end.

Detroit, we are up 13 points with 5 minutes to go and then herp derped our way to a loss including an inexcusable INT by Brees and some bad luck in the officiating at the end.

While, they haven't played great on the road, they certainly have not been horrible outside of the Dallas game.

And we all should know the buzzsaw that can be a primetime night game.

The only QB on Brees' calibur that CAR has played was Rodgers, and we all know how that went. Ingram will probably have yet another big game here. Carolina has gotten owned week after week by different running backs. I'd be surprised if Ingram doesn't surpass 100 yards rushing.

Now, the biggest story here is if Brees can avoid turning the ball over on the road. He's been sharp the last two games with the exception of the turnover against DET which imo costed us the game. THIS is why Ingram should get around 25 carries.
