Been doing a little research and not finding much difference at all. Anybody really knowledgeable about this?

$3-5k, maybe more. It's basically the same car with a different monikers. The leather might be a little nicer on the GMC, but I bet it's pretty close

The Denali and LTZ are almost identical.
The SLT comes better equipped than the LT.

Not for equally equipped models.

They're identical. GMC's marketing group are just geniuses for getting the public to think that.

Except it's probably the same marketing group as Chevy.

That wasn't really the point, but obviously. My point was that they've done a good job of marketing GMC as a luxury truck when it uses the exact same materials as their Chevy counterparts.

if you want the highest end model, the GMC Denali has always had a few more features than the Chevy LTZ model. if you are looking more mid level, i'd just get whichever one you can get best deal on or you like the looks of best. i got a gmc truck b/c i liked looks over the Chevy. price was the same

Denali has 6.2L motor and now an 8 speed tranny, basically the same as a Corvette just tuned differently, same with Escalade.
I noticed the huge difference between leather in Tahoe LT I rented and Escalade I test drove. Not sure about the interior difference between LT and LTZ.
I will say I averaged over 20mpg in mixed driving over 4 days in the Tahoe which has me thinking hard about moving down from my Ford Diesel to an SUV.

I rented a 2015 suburban LT recently and got well over 22 mpg on my trip. Very impressed

There isn't much else different between them other than styling. I think I like the new GMC Yukon XL better, but I have not yet seen the Z71 Suburban yet. The Yukons look really good.

I noticed the same, about 22mpg when I was driving the LT Tahoe with cruise set at 79. Around town mileage dropped but was still reasonable.
The experience got me thinking hard, I've always driven diesel trucks which have always come with big discounts and great residual value. But 60-70 cent diesel premium right now plus the mileage has me tempted to downsize to a denali. I'm estimating I'll finish the year with $5,500 in diesel fuel cost.

People have been saying this since the first Tahoes and Yukons came out in '95. It's never, ever been true.
