While this is true, we also need Ole Miss to get another loss against someone besides MSU. Auburn still has UGA and Bama on the road, and Ole Miss only has Arkansas before MSU, so I'm going for Auburn here.

Auburn needs to lose to Geo and Bama; Ole Miss needs to lose to Auburn; Bama loses to us; State needs to lose to Ark, Bama and Ole Miss.

I'm not a fan of either team. I root for one team. It's highly unlikely that LSU wins the West. Therefore, I won't pull for either.

This is when we need to suspend our usual loyalties and do whatever it takes to get LSU to Atlanta. Auburn winning this would help us more, and if Arkansas could pull an upset over MSU, that'd be great (but not required).

Bingo. It could also work if Ole Miss won, but that would require help from Arkansas, so I'm pulling for the most likely scenario that gets us to Atlanta.
